Vidarbha Association  of Pathologists & Micribiologists and  Dept of Pathology GMC Nagpur , are pleased to announce this workshop on guided FNAB , in collaboration with Dept of Radiology, GMC , and extend a warm welcome to you to participate in this activity .

As you are aware , cytology has become a routine investigation in the work up of any patient with a mass lesion . Many organs are not easily accessible to aspiration and blind FNA leads to inadequate sampling .With the easy availability of imaging techniques this problem can be solved by performing FNA under guidance (Ultra sound , CT scan ,MRI ) This workshop is an attempt to familiarise participants in the nuances of guidance technics and  fine needle sampling of various organs. Smear making and basic processing of fluid specimens would be demonstrated .Lecture demonstration of FNA findings of routinely encountered and some rare lesions will be followed  by hands on viewing of glass slides of the same lesions.
